I attended a terrific Sustainability Summit run by MIT students this week, and towards the end of the day the MIT motto, mens et manus, was referenced. “Mind and hand,” a wonderful reminder that intellectual pursuits gain meaning and impact only when they are applied to the world – and that this application loops back to make the brainy part even better in return.
What a delight that in the closing remarks, a third element was added – heart. The rallying cry at the end of the day became “love, power, data.”
Dear Honeybees, what is your motto?
Is it missing something?
